About me

I am a French-Luxembourger economist with strong technical background. I have been building in the blockchain space since discovering Bitcoin in 2013 and initially through mining. In 2015, I created Ethereum-France, a non-profit dedicated to improving the accessibility of blockchain technologies and Ethereum. By 2016, I was working full time in the blockchain industry where I progressed through technical, managerial and executive roles at EY, ConsenSys and Ledger. I am mostly known for Cometh — a MICA-regulated custodian and DeFi enabler — and EthCC, the largest blockchain conference worldwide by number of talks, side-events and attendees.

Apart from my passion for blockchain, I'm a decent climber, D&D dungeon master and game designer.

Cometh (acquired)

I founded Cometh in 2020 as an R&D lab for blockchain adoption and DeFi usage across industries. Cometh made critical contributions to the account abstraction standards, cryptographic primitives for onboarding purposes (passkeys) and rollup optimization.

The company distributes one of the most popular account abstraction SDKs, enabling seamless onchain experiences for end users and developers. It is empowering renowned clients like Gnosis and World, among others.

Cometh obtained a MICA license in 2025 in France, becoming the first regulated custodian of the country operating with its own technology and actively providing compliant rails to decentralized finance. Following the acquisition, I have transitioned out of the company to explore my next endeavors.

Over the years, the company spun out a game studio which released two games:

Due to regulatory uncertainties surrounding digital assets in gaming (the French JONUM framework), the studio ceased operations in 2025. However, we successfully secured an acquisition of the games' IP by FDJ United in 2026.

Cometh was acquired by Kaiko in May 2026

Ethereum France & EthCC

Ethereum France's effort to support the growth of the ecosystem led to the creation of the Ethereum Community Conference (EthCC). Since its first edition in 2017, EthCC has brought together thousands of researchers, developers, and builders each year. More than $500M in funding has been invested in blockchain start-ups through EthCC's dedicated VC track, showcasing future leaders in their earliest stages of development (Morpho, Sorare, Axie Infinity, …).

I supervise the scientific direction of the conference and personally host it. EthCC is widely recognized as the premier signal-over-noise event in the industry, providing a yearly snapshot of the latest trends, breakthroughs and challenges.

Teaching

I am an associate professor in economics at Le Cnam (Conservatoire national des arts et métiers) in Paris, where I teach courses on blockchain and the impact of this technology on traditional finance and payments. I also teach the smart contract language Solidity at Université Paris-Dauphine.
